Yes, we are fine. It was an exciting couple of hours for Evi & I when the tornadoes rolled through Edmond the other afternoon. We heard the first sirens on our way home from school. By the time we got home they were listing an intersection within a mile of our house and Evi & I were in the shelter of the hallway bathtub. (tight quarters!) Evi did good. She remained very calm and held the flashlight. She was then stuck to my hip the rest of time coloring a coloring book. Shortly after getting out of the tub, we were right back in once again! This one actually did some damage to our neighborhood. It looked like it had been raining trampolines in our neighborhood when we left today! Anyway, no major damage to any houses. Some with roof damage and several flattened fences. But it looks like ours was spared! Thankfully! Evi thinks Minnie Mouse & Daisy Duck make thunder by hitting drums (and Pluto is responsible for fireworks). On Thursday she woke up and the first thing she said was "the house is spinning." Then later she asked why people were holding her playset down with ropes, was it for the twister? Poor baby, she's worried about her playset blowing away and dreaming the house is spinning like the wizard of oz.
Moving right along in the pregnancy...I had Scotty take a picture the other day. Only the second one out of 4 months! W
Proving that Evi is my child, when asked what she wanted for lunch today she replied "Mesican!" that's my girl
We didn't cry at drop off for school this week!!! yipee!!
She is now scared to death of toilets that flush themselves though. I had to fold her in half at the airport the other day, and hold her screaming over the potty, but she tinkled, so I won. (she was screaming, not me, in case you were wondering...in that situation all you can do is laugh)
Last weekend Scott wanted to make poached eggs but could not find the little silicone cups I use anywhere. So on a whim he asked Evi if she knew where they were and of course, she took him right to them!
We had a little snow and that's the best I could do for a snowman for her. My mom had given her a snowman kit and she remembered it right away when it snowed. I, on the other hand, am sooo over winter, and pretty much have been since October.
